I have a very stubborn 3 1/2 yr old who desperately needs to nap, but refuses go to sleep until his body just shuts down on him anyway.....sometimes he does manage to skip a nap and most of the time he falls asleep in a normal position on the couch.
Landen went through a phase like this too. I just got to the point where I would let him nap, but still make him go to bed at bed time. Sometimes he would still be awake when we went to sleep!
